Year 1 – End of Year Blog
What an amazing year! We are so proud of every single one of you and hope that you have thoroughly enjoyed your time with us during Year 1. What has been your favourite Year 1 moment?
Term 6 has certainly been jam-packed with lots of fun learning opportunities and events. To round off our ‘Bright Lights, Big City’ topic, we went on an exciting adventure to London via coach.
We then got to see these landmarks from the top of the London Eye and the aerial view was amazing! We couldn’t believe how high up we were – the people below us looked as tiny as ants and we could see far into the distance from all directions! We boarded the London River Cruise and had a guided tour of the River Thames, spotting famous landmarks as we sailed across the water, such as Tower Bridge, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the Tower of London.
It was a beautiful, warm, clear day and we sat and ate our lunch under the trees, marvelling at all the sights and sounds of the city. It really was a trip to remember and a perfect way to end a fantastic year!
You have been an absolutely wonderful year group, Year 1, and have given your teachers so many proud moments and reasons to smile. We wish you lots of love and happiness as you continue your journey into Year 2 where we know you will continue to be the beautiful, bright beacons of light that you are. Please make sure you all have a safe and enjoyable Summer holiday and we look forward to welcoming you back in September.
