Weather Report
In today’s topic lesson we were developing our understanding of climate zones and weather around the world.
We now understand that zones closest to the equator are the hottest, either tropical or arid because they are the nearest to the sun. We additionally learnt about polar, Mediterranean, mountainous, and temperate climates.
To secure our understanding we split into 6 groups, each group received an information card about a country and its climate.
The children then had to create a weather report bespoke to the information they had received. We had lots of freezing children in the polar and mountainous climates, and drenched children in the tropical climate.
