Trust Leavers' Service

On Tuesday 5th July 2022, the Year 6 classes attended the Aletheia Academies Trust Year 6 Leavers' Service at Rochester Cathedral. This marked an important step in the children's transition from primary to secondary school.

The service was conducted by Reverend Trudi Oliver and Reverend Kenneth Clark with each school contributing to the service in the form of reflection and prayers. An interesting and inspiring talk was given by Mr Stephen Carey, the CEO of the Aletheia Academies Trust. Our school reflections focused on how the children have changed over time.

From Doves: Yuvan and Holly shared their reflections. From Bullfinches: Riley, Stanley and Winning shared their reflections. Additionally, Grace read a prayer, written by herself, with the focus on 'Journeys' and Emmanuel assisted by introducing the hymn 'I the Lord of Sea and Sky'.

Please see the photographs below of a wonderful afternoon.

Prior to the service the schools in the trust held a picnic together at The Vines:

When arriving at the Cathedral, Holy Trinity proudly displayed the school banner:

Our children listened attentively during the service:

A selection of our children shared a refection on how they have changed throughout the year:

Jasmine represented Holy Trinity, when each school was given a candle to take back to their school to show the continuation of their journeys. The following words were then shared:

"We pass the light to each one of you to take forward on your journey. This is a sign that each and every one of you go forward to flourish in new settings, with the blessing and best wishes of our Trust community."

Every pupil from every Trust school, brought a decorated pebble to hold when they reflected on their next steps, hopes and dreams.

A wonderful service!
