BLOOD HEART and our trip to gravity
In Term 6, the year group has been investigating the largely science-based Cornerstones' topic of Blood Heart
Cornerstones
During the ‘engage phase’ of our new Cornerstones topic, the children dissected a lamb’s heart. Before the dissection, the children poured liquid into the heart and noticed that in some vessels, the liquid appeared out of it. If the liquid did not flow out, then the vessel was an out vessel and had valves preventing the water ‘flowing’ the wrong way. All the children were asked, not made, to dissect the heart.
Gravity Trip
On Friday 24th July, Year Six participated in an active trip to Gravity in Bluewater. The children explored a variety of activities including bouncing, duelling, dodgeball, the speed and reaction challenge as well as the Ninja Course. We then enjoyed a well-deserved picnic.
