The Governing Body intends to admit 60 Reception pupils for classes at the start of each academic year.   

The link below will give you guidance (provided by KCC) on applying to a school place:

Applications must be made online at Kent Primary School Admissions 

In addition to the online application, you will also need to complete a Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School Supplementary Form, which includes details of our admission arrangements and oversubscription criteria.

This form can be downloaded below and must be completed and returned to the school office or via email.

You can apply for up to 3 schools, putting them in order of preference. It's in your best interests to list 3 schools. Naming only 1 school does not guarantee your child a place at that school or give your child priority for a place over another child, neither does naming a school more than once.

Appeals

If your child is due to start primary school in September 2022, you can appeal if you were refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Tuesday 19 April 2022).

You must submit your appeal before Tuesday 17 May 2022 for it to be considered by Tuesday 19 July 2022. Any appeals received after this time will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline, or where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.

For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.

 

Casual Admissions

Casual admissions of children moving into the area or transferring from another school will be considered by Governors, having regard to the admission policy and according to whether places are available in the appropriate year group.

Over-Subscription

Where there are more applications than places Governors will use the criteria below in order:

  • Children looked after and children looked after but are no longer, due to adoption.
  • Children of parents who are practising members of the Parish Church of St Peters and St Paul Milton or at St George’s Church, Gravesend or Christ Church Milton-Next-Gravesend.  (Practising members of a Church are defined as attending at least once a month).
  • Children of parents who are practising members of the Church of England.  (Practising members of a Church are defined as attending at least once a month).
  • Children of parents from other Christian Denominations who are practising members of churches that are members of ‘Churches Together in Gravesham.  (Practising members of a Church are defined as attending at least once a month).
  • Children from families who have brothers or sisters attending the school at the time of admission. 

All other applicants will be prioritised according to the distance of home from the school.  We ask the Local Authority to calculate distances.  They use the distance between the child’s permanent home address and the school, measured in a straight line using Ordnance Survey address point data.  Distances are measured from a point defined as within the child’s home to a point defined as within the school as specified by Ordnance Survey.  The same address point on the school site is used for everyone.
