Little Red Riding Hood Year 4 edition
In Year 4, we have been retelling and adapting the story of Little Red Riding Hood
Storytelling is used to help stimulate children’s imaginations and to encourage a hunger and eagerness for writing and reading. We have seen children's confidence and self-esteem flourish during these activities.
Children had a fun learning experience that was positive and enjoyable. It allowed for personal growth, social development and an increase in their oracy skills. Children showed a genuine desire and passion for reading and writing during these sessions and did not want them to end.
First we learnt the story of Little Red Riding Hood, Then we changed the wood cutter character for a modern day character.
Finally, we changed the main character and the ending to incorporate a modern day twist.
