Immersed in a Greek Odyssey

This term, Year 06 have been engrossed in adventures of Odysseus.

Using this text as a base, we have been learning about various Greek Gods and Goddesses and how they impacted the world of Ancient Greece.

It has been great fun engaging in the different adventures of Odysseus. We have been putting ourselves in his shoes thinking carefully about the feelings and emotions Odysseus and his crew would go through and how his heroics would impact others.

To make the stories even more memorable, we created freeze frames to sequence the events of one of his adventures.

We have used pictures as stimulus to help our writing as part of our weekly Every Picture Tells a Story sessions. A number of informal letters have been composed and writing these have helped us show empathy for the characters and their relationships.
