Glorious Sunshine

On Friday, 17th June 2022, Year 3 took a long awaited trip to Minnis Bay. The day was set to be delightful and eventful. The children eagerly arrived with an array of sun cream, water, buckets and spades, as the weather forecast predicted highs of over 29 degrees. Year 3 travelled on a double-decker red bus. This was a new and enjoyable experience for some. The journey was approximately one hour and upon arrival, gazebos and sun umbrellas were stationed.

All were merry and some, even took the opportunity to bury themselves in the sand, dip toes in the water and look for interesting shells and sea life. Some Year 3 children were very intrigued by the seaweed. Falcons and Swifts played and ate together, enjoying all that the atmosphere had to offer. Before the tide came in, Year 3 prepared themselves to get some well deserved ice-cream and sleep off the excitement on the way home.  

What a fantastic day to be at the beach!
