Brick Bonanza
Last week, Year 5 had a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) challenge using the wonders of LEGO.
Three challenges were set to the pupils (within a time limit):
Challenge 1:
To create a stable bridge that can hold a weight of 2Kg, each group definitely tried their best and forged some strong bridges across the session.
Challenge 2:
Zoom down a ramp as quick as possible using the LEGO bricks provided making a fast car, hoping to see their creations zip down the ramp farther than any other.
Challenge 3:
Using their teamwork, knowledge of other stable structures in the world, and their sense of structural integrity. The teams had to create a stable tower that reached one metre in height.
Which challenge will you take up?
Thank you to Mr. Atkinson for organising our workshops!
