Plays and Experiments!

Romeo! Romeo!

Over the last two weeks, the children have been exposed to the works of William Shakespeare by exploring the plays Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest and MacBeth. The pictures below show a selection of children from Year 6 performing in front of their peers.

Magnetic Monday

The children were delighted to take part in a very practical workshop that was funded by the Science Technology Facilities Council. Sarah Langford from Sphere Science taught the workshop via video conferencing with support from the class teachers. The children enjoyed the practical tasks which explored magnetism, solar wind and light. Please ask our Year 6 children about what they learnt.

Chain Reaction

The love of science continued into Terrific Thursday whereby the children conducted an experiment to explore chemical reactions. With the right ingredients, some food colouring and a tablespoon of yeast extract (acting as a catalyst), we created our own colourful chemical reactions. The result can be seen below:
