Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Spectacular Sports Day!

Today, Year 4 had their spectacular sports day! We all had a wonderfully fun morning, everyone took part and enjoyed themselves immensely! The weather was lovely and sunny so we could spend the whole morning outside having fun competing!

We had many different track and field events such as: boys and girls flat races, obstacle race, relay race, hurdles, bean bag relay and speed stack. We competed in our houses and wore our house colours. We even had a tug-of-war, Skylarks vs. Kestrels and Kestrels won but everybody had so much fun and cheered their teams on!

Sheldon won the boys flat race closely followed by Adam in 2nd place. Hollie won the girls flat closely followed by Gracie! The obstacle race was a real highlight because it was so funny, and Dymchurch won!

Gracie says, "The skipping relay was really competitive but everyone had fun. Margate won, Broadstairs came second, Minnis Bay came third and Dymchurch came fourth."

Jawaria says, "It was really fun!"

The obstacle race was another exciting moment, with teams weaving in and out of cones, bouncing on a space-hopper and running with an egg on a spoon. Arjun says, "I was pretty good at the egg and spoon, and my team came second!"

"My favourite bit of the day was the flat race because everyone had a good time!" exclaimed Sheldon.

We had a fabulous time! Well done Year 4!!
