In English they have been continuing to understand the story of Pattan's Pumpkin and in particular how Pattan will save the animals from the flood.

The children thought of these ideas themselves and we wrote a letter together choosing the correct features. On Friday the children wrote their own letter as Pattan to consolidate their learning of how a letter is structured choosing whether to keep the original idea or whether to choose another.

In Science the children had a lot of fun constructing insect hotels. They worked in groups and cut straws to the right length discussing with their peers how this should be done. Then they worked together to tie them together and place them in the pot.
