Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

A massive explosion!!!!

What an exciting day it has been in Reception!

We have enjoyed doing some Super Science this week. We were all scientists!

Do you know what a scientist does?

We put our imaginary lab coats and goggles on, and we started the experiment.

Would you like to see what we did?

We used various different instruments like a pipette, a funnel and a flask. We also used a chemical called Hydrogen Peroxide. We were extremely careful around it.

We also made a yeast mixture!

Did you know that yeast is used to make bread rise?

NO NO we were not making bread!

Do you really want to see what we made?

A Foam explosion! We did not expect to see that at all!

"It looks like a volcano which is cream."

This experiment was extremely exciting to perform, and we also learnt lots of big words.
