Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Amazing African Masks!

This week we have been learning about 'Black History Month'.

We have learned that people were treated differently because of the colour of their skin.

Did you know it is celebrated every year in October?

"I made my mask like the pictures I saw."
"Look at all the dots I put on my mask."

We have been so inspired by our new learning, we created our own African masks.

Have a look at our beautiful creations!

"I made my eyes really big!"
"I made my mask look like the rainbow."

We have also learnt about famous African people who have made a difference: Rosa Parks, Barack Obama and Nelson Mandela. We cannot wait to share all of our new learning!
