Holy Trinity CE Primary School

Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Term 6 in Year 5

Year 5 writers have been creating great stories. I love how Ariana began with a preposition. Can you do the same? (Remember prepositions are position or time words - under, through, after)

A big shout out to Rueben and Eshan for their amazing maths work - keep it up!

Martha has been getting creative - and I love it! Her mum thinks it looks like Picasso - can you research some facts about him as an artist?

I have been sharing the idea of Zentangles with a lot of my friends and family. I created one to help me (and others!) stay calm in these uncertain times. You could start with any word (eg your name, a positive emotion, or make a sign for the NHS?) and then add the rays in the background. Then use different patterns (and/or different colours) in each of the sections.

I wonder if should keep adding more colours?

As you do this activity, take your time, and let your mind tune out while you do it. Once it is done, how do you feel?

You can see my friend Yaz Gate (an art teacher in Australia) doing her version here: She has a lot of free artistic ideas that are perfect for being stuck at home.

Stay well! Keep in touch, we love to hear what you are doing.
