Dipping into dips!
This week Puffins made a variety of dips and then tried them out.
First we prepared our ingredients - fine chopping or mashing was needed.
Finely chopping roasted red peppers.
Chopping avocado and then mashing it with the flat of the knife.
Finely chopping mint.
Once all our ingredients were prepared we mixed it together, mashing further if needed.
Yoghurt and herb dip. Tzatziki. Cannellini bean and feta cheese dip.
Hummus (being mashed). Guacamole. Roast pepper and tomato salsa.
We also cut carrots into batons and sliced pitta bread to be our dippers.
We were able to try each dip, if we wanted to.
The guacamole had far too much fresh coriander and the salsa had a little too much chilli oil!
The most popular dips were the yoghurt ones: yoghurt and herb, and tzatziki.
