Year Six have had a great week exploring their learning in a variety of ways.
Exploring Punctuation for Effect
During the E.P.T.A.S writing task, the children explored using punctuation for effect and worked extremely hard in the lesson.

Pizza Making
The children really enjoyed making pizzas with Mrs Irons. Many could not resist eating them before they went home!
Exploring Triangles in Maths
Mr Atkinson worked with both Year 6 classes to experiment in making polygons and polyhedrons. The children also made 2D and 3D shapes using only triangles. When doing this they also examined the shapes properties and angles.
Design Technology
For our fashion topic, Mr Smit taught the children how to attach fabric to a piece of bin liner. We explored four ways:
- sewing
- gluing
- stapling
- Masking tape
We all agreed that sewing was the best way to attach the materials, even though some of us need to develop our sewing technique!
