Severe Weather Guidance

Severe Weather Guidance and School Closure Arrangements

During severe weather every effort will be made to keep the school open for pupils at all times. However, if your child normally has a School Dinner, there may not be a delivery from Northfleet School For Girls who supply our hot food due to the weather/road conditions, so it would be safer to send in a packed lunch for your child, just in case.

Should it be necessary for us to close, we will make public announcements on the radio stations below.

Please listen to Radio Kent (96.7 & 104.2fm) for information on whether the school is closed.

A list of schools that are shut will also be broadcast from Heart (103.1 & 102.8fm)

You can also look at either of the following websites: http://www.bbc.co.uk/kent or www.kentclosures.co.uk, www.heart.co.uk/kent/local/snow and KMFM Radio (100.4 & 107.9fm).

We will also try to text you using our messaging service and put a message here on the school website, so watch this space!
