Holy Trinity CE Primary School

Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

After School Club (Lighthouse Club)

Our after school club is located in the Dance Studio (beside the school) and is open from 3:30 pm until 6:00 pm weekdays (term time) at a cost of £8 per session.

We also offer inset and holiday care from 8.00am to 6.00pm subject to demand.

We aim to provide a safe, secure and relaxed environment, with a smooth transition between school and club. The Lighthouse Club offers a range of activities to reflect the interests of the children in our care. During the club opening hours we have full access to the school play facilities.

Our Club follows the Playwork Principles meaning that the children are free to choose activities and resources as they wish. There will always be a selection of activities and resources available, including dressing up, home corner, craft, board games, construction, computer games, physical play, cookery, and reading. In addition, other resources are available for the children to select from our equipment library.

What we provide
  • We provide healthy snacks, including fresh fruit and vegetables along with drinking water.
  • We meet individual dietary requirements and parental preferences wherever possible.

Our Club is staffed by three After School Club Assistants.

After School Co-ordinator: Mrs. T Goldsmith
After school club assistants: Mrs. S Miah, Mrs. J Beardmore

All of our staff have significant experience of working with children, undertake professional development training and are DBS checked. We maintain a staff/child ratio of 1:8 for children under the age of eight, and a ratio of 1:10 for children over the age of 8.

If you have a query or concern at any time, please speak to a member of staff at the club when you collect your child.
