Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Bees, Cars and Robots on the roll!

Nothing fascinates the children more than new technologies and this week they had the opportunity to learn how we can program a small robot using an algorithm.

Regrouped in small teams, just like in the Winter Olympic Games, they paraded with their robots in hand and presented the name of their team. First, we learned the how robot’s interface buttons work; we modelled a few simple moves in the classroom and the children made their own trials, predicting and evaluating how their robots would move.

Their excitement was more than the words can describe and in the following weeks they will learn more about coding on a computer.
