Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Time to explore!

This week, we have had fun exploring our new book 'The Green Ship'. We have been looking at the images and the language used in the text, to create art and also to create a role play.

As a class, we got into pairs and acted as if we were the children from the story 'The Green Ship'. We reached high, bent down low, and peered around things as we pretended we were Alice and her brother first discovering the ship that was made out of trees, branches and grass.

We spoke about how we would feel if we discovered the ship and how we feel when we find out new information or receive new things. We had a lot of fun and came up with lots of exciting pieces of drama and interesting new language which we can use in our upcoming piece of writing.
