Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Our trip to MEAPA Gym!

We had a very enjoyable day jumping and bouncing off of the equipment at MEAPA Gymnastics!

Our workshop started with a warm up which included movement to get our blood moving around our bodies and different standing and floor stretches.

Then we split into three groups and rotated between three different courses.  We did tuck jumps, star jumps and seat drops on the trampoline and landed in the foam pit as well as a course with hoops and mini spring trampolines. Our session then ended with a space hopper race where we cheered on our teams.

As well as all of this exercise we walked a total distance of 3.2 miles!

We are very proud of all of the children's efforts and how brilliantly they walked to and from MEAPA.  You are brilliant, year 1! :)  We hope you all have a lovely rest tonight and plenty of sleep to recharge your bodies.

What a fabulous way to finish the term! The children tackled the 1 6 mile walk to MEAPA with ease, not phased by the cold and drizzle. It was lovely to see the children trying new things which some wouldn't normally have the opportunity to do. The trampoline and foam pit are always the firm favourite. Manners as always, were impeccable and after a warm down, got ready for the walk back to school. Some tuneful singing and hungry tummies was a good incentive to keep those tired little legs moving. Have a happy and safe break little ones. You have worked so hard, you deserve it. Mrs Rushen x

It looks like they’re having great fun. Looks like you always keep the children happy. I love to come and visit your school but I live in Switzerland.
