Holy Trinity CE Primary School

Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

A Blast from the Past!

Year 1 were very fortunate and lucky to have had a visit from Hazel who brought objects into school from the past!

Hazel spoke to the year group about items her husband had dug up from the past and was pleased to show these to us all providing us with context about each object.

The children learnt a range of facts about many of the items one of which included, the items were around 200 years old! WOW!

The children used their sense of touch to feel the different patterned and textured bottles, heaters, teeth items and many more!

It was a great learning experience for us all - the children used their learning about past and present and put this into perspective when speaking about items they had seen and touched.
