Shoe Box Titanic

Social Class on the Titanic
If you had $69,600 what would you spend it on? If you were sailing on the Titanic, that is what it would have cost you for a first class ticket only back then it would have been $4900. This week Bullfinches have been researching social classes on board the Titanic.
Who sailed where?
How much did it cost?
What were the conditions like?
Mr Anthony was 42 when he sailed on the Titanic in 3rd class and would have shared a cramped room with 4 other people, pretty sure they would have gotten to know each other very well, very quickly. Master Marshall Brines sailed in 2nd class according to Ryan, he was also one of the lucky ones who survived the fateful journey. 1st class was reserved for the rich and famous according to Aimaan, Edith Louise Rosenbaum was one such person, she was a journalist who often reported on the Paris fashion scene. She survived the journey and went on to write another day.
We also looked at ‘Shoebox Titanic’ and some of us built areas of the ship inside a shoe box, the engine room, 1st class, the grand staircase and 3rd class!
Grand staircase by Sam / 3rd class by Ryan and Coal room by Julienne.
