Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

God Jul! Merry Christmas!

During our Terrific Thursday, we explored what Christmas is like in Norway. There was great excitement when Year 4 began to make Christmas decorations with Norway as the themed country.

Have a look at the decorations, which included the flag of Norway, weaved hearts and gnomes.

There was plenty of role play, as the children dramatised Norwegian families singing carols around the Christmas tree.  Very creative trees, Year 4.

Here are some of the children's comments about new learning they had experienced.

Gracie - "A bowl of porridge is left for the gnomes".

Harpreet - "They exchange gifts on Christmas Eve".

Holly - "God Jul is Merry Christmas in Norwegian".

Well done Year 4!
