Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Giraffes Can’t dance!

Our Year 4 classes were inspired by the story of the Giraffe that could not dance, this week.  In English, we discussed the verbs found in the story.  We were motivated to use dance to extend the verbs we already had.

With dancing in the air, we gathered in teams. We had three groups within each team working together to dance, write the verbs and give encouragement.

Using the theme tune to Strictly, it was ‘strictly’ fun soaring, bounding and for a few, trundling along the dance floor.

We discussed the courage needed to perform to others, just as Gerald the giraffe had summoned up.

Well done Year 4!
