Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Making Connections...

Our topic this term is Brainwave. We are discovering how our brains function and make connections to learn new things. This week, we played a connection game where we threw a ball of wool to other children with similar interests. This created the spider web shape displayed below.

When we practise a skill, our connections are reinforced which enhances our learning! We had a class quiz which helped us to explore more about how our brain works. Did you know that the left-side of the brain is responsible for the right-side of the body and vice versa?!

Continuing in Art with our focus on fine lines and patterns, the children were given the opportunity to produce doodles that reflected the skills we have obtained during previous art sessions.

Next week in art, we will be using natural objects to inspire our pattern drawing skills!
