Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Foam fun and repeating patterns!

Our Science lesson this week investigated chemical reactions and the impact of yeast as a catalyst! A catalyst is a substance that makes a chemical reaction happen faster. In this case, as we added the yeast to our solution of hydrogen peroxide and liquid soap, a foaming fountain was produced!

Our Art skills progressed as we continued to explore the idea of repeated patterns but this time we used a heart shape which we rotated.

We had to ensure that spacing was the same between the hearts to make the pattern effective.

We hope you enjoy our patterns!
