Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

We are all different but we BELONG!

This week Year 3 have been looking at the story, "Something Else". In this story, there is a character who is shunned by the other creatures because he is different. The children have been exploring and identifying the feelings and responses of Something Else and the other creatures. The children wrote in role to express the feelings of the different characters.

As the week continued we talked about how a new person may feel about coming into our class and what we can do to ensure the child feels welcome.

In Art, we have progressed onto using fine liner pens with varying thickness. The children have been creating textures using different lines and this has built up to us using our textures to shade in this picture of a seahorse.

We hope you like our pictures. Next week, we are creating similar mosaics but this time, we are using our handprint!
