Holy Trinity CE Primary School

Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Protests and portraits!

During our Every Picture Tells a Story lesson in English, we were exploring this image and its message. Here are some reflections from the children.

Our Immersive Reading Text is James and The Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. Currently in the story, James and the insects are trying to hatch a plan to escape the sharks. We asked the children to come up with a prediction of where James and the insects may end up. Here are some of their ideas.

In Art, we continued to experiment with creating tone by shading with different art pencils. This helped to bring our drawings to life, making them three dimensional and giving them substance.

We hope you like our portraits!
