Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Let me tell you a story...

In R.E. we have found out that all faiths enjoy learning from stories.

We have found out about Jewish, Muslim and Hindu stories this term.

We have listened to the story of Rama and Sita.

At the end of the story, Rama and Sita find their way home using little lights to guide the way.

We made our own diva lamps to remind us of this story.

First we had to make our clay into a ball. 'My clay is too hard!'

We squashed it and squished it until finally it was soft enough to make into a ball that we could flatten, like this...

Next we pulled up the sides to make a little bowl.

Finally, we left them to dry.

How can something so small, like our diva lamps, make a difference? What do you think?
