Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Hooray - Let's go on holiday!

Our topic this term is 'Hooray - Let's go on holiday.'

First of all we created postcards of our favourite holidays.

Ashleen wrote about her holiday to India.

We also designed t-shirts to wear on holiday to make sure our shoulders didn't get sunburn.

Jacob has designed a lovely sunny beach scene.

We looked at artworks by Georges Seurat and Jan Matson.

Kenley said: 'It looks beautiful, there is a dog in the picture and the people are enjoying the sun.'

Jiya said: 'I like this picture because there are lots of people.'

Kenley said: 'The people are enjoying the beach, they had different colour shade. I do not like it because it has far too many colours.'

Jiya said: 'I like this picture because it is a beach and I love to go to the beach and play in the water.'

We then used the artworks as inspiration to make our own.
