Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

All Dressed Up...

Our topic is 'All Dressed Up' and covers geography, history, art and design technology.

Look at our journey through pattern in art.

We started by collecting as many tartan things as we could find.

We found out which one was Miss Edwards's clan tartan:

Then we designed and coloured our own tartan patterns.

Next we looked at symmetrical patterns and we were set the challenge to complete the other half of the patterns. This was really tricky, some of us used rulers and sometimes our grown-ups helped too.

Our last task was to create a repeating pattern. We tried creating an image in one square and copying it into the other squares.
