Holy Trinity CE Primary School

Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Brilliant Botanists!

What a fantastic week it has been being back to school after remote learning!

We have enjoyed playing and learning with our friends and also enjoyed meeting our teachers.

We carried on learning about the topic of 'Natural World'.

As a part of our topic, we were learning what a plant needs to grow.

Did you know that a plant needs the correct temperature to grow?

Do you know some other things that a plant may need to help with its growth?

Would you like to see what we planted in the classroom?

We first added soil to the cups. After that we sprinkled some cress seeds on the soil.We added enough to cover the soil. Then we poured some water to wet the soil and the seeds.

We add the water to help the seeds start growing.

We then placed our cups where it would get natural sunlight and some air.

When we came back to school on Monday, would you like to see what we found?

We were surprised and shocked to see the cress grow so quickly.

We are all really excited to take our cress home and enjoy looking after it with our families.
