Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

The Deep Blue Sea!

What an exciting week it has been in Reception!

We have been reading 'The Rainbow Fish' and learning about fishes, octopus and also the beautiful coral reef!

Did you know coral is an animal?

We decorated fishes using tissue paper, to make it look just like Rainbow Fish. We didn't forget the glittering shiny scale. We also created an octopus by sticking shapes together.

Did you know an octopus has 8 tentacles?

Yes! We learned that word!

We created an underwater collage by using lots of different material to make the coral and fishes!

Would you like to see us creating them?

"The fish is hiding in the coral from the shark"
"I am making a starfish"
"The fish says bloop bloop bloop"
"My colourful coral."
"I used lots of colours for my coral reef."
"The fish can hide here."
"They take a long time to grow."
"I like the colours."

We enjoyed learning about the Coral Reef.

What do you know about the Coral Reef?
