Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Perfect Patterns

We have really enjoyed our maths learning this week, where we have been identifying patterns within the inside and outside environment.

We have been applying our new knowledge of patterns. We have been outside in the garden collecting natural materials to create our own 2-step patterns.

"My pattern is stick, leaf, stick, leaf, stick, leaf."

"I chose different coloured leaves and sticks."

We have been carrying on our learning of patterns from outside the classroom back to inside the classroom. We have enjoyed exploring patterns by completing quizzes and games on the interactive whiteboard!

"I know it is red next."
"After 2 flowers it is the leek."

"Look, my pattern is blue, purple, blue, purple."
