Holy Trinity CE Primary School

Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Once upon a time...

We are focusing on fairy tales this term.

This week we have been reading 'Sleeping Beauty'

We re-told the story of 'Sleeping Beauty' and acted it out as a class.

The fairy said: "prick your finger!"

We looked at different characters from fairy tales.

Is there an Ogre in the story Sleeping Beauty?

We created our own crowns and pretended to be the prince, cutting down the thistles, saving the princess.

What might the prince have used to cut the thistles?

"I'll cut them down!"

We have been practising the initial sounds in words.

P for princess

Using our fingers we worked as a team to paint different characters from the story.

What's your favourite fairy tale to read?
