Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Dig, dig, dig

All Nursery children have returned and settled well. We couldn't be prouder of our little Robins.

We have been digging in our garden this week and finding what has been growing. We have very much enjoyed feeling the dirt and finding out what is growing and living in it.

We used our hands to dig into the dirt, we found that potatoes grow in the ground.

We found lots of potatoes of all different shapes and sizes.

Do you grow anything in your garden or home?

We collected them altogether so that we could see which was the biggest and smallest.

Did you know that chips are made from potatoes.

How do you eat your potatoes? I like a jacket potato.

We also found some other things growing in our garden.

What do you think they are?

We also found some mini-beasts.

We made sure that they got back to their homes carefully.
