Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Hail Balancing Caesar!

This week, Year 6 have been learning a lot about Romans, Explanation texts, balancing and Caesar?!

Since we’re been learning about different aspects of Roman soldiers, we’ve started to look at the layout of an explanation text. We’ve developed an introduction and our first section by doing a shared write with the class. This is what we came up with:

During our Terrific Thursday, we were tasked with drawing a portrait of Julius Caesar. We learned how to sketch it step-by-step and these are a few of the finished pieces.

Well done to Andra, Lacey, Pariyanshi and Arjun for their Julius Caesar sketches.

At the same time, Bullfinches were learning to put their balancing skills into practice by walking across beams and elevated benches.
