How well do you know Europe?
As part of our topic 'Earth as an Island', we are learning about countries of the world. In particular, Year 5 are focussing on Europe, and looking at the countries and their capital cities. We used atlases to search, and had to make sure we were identifying capitals - not just large cities.
We created a class list of 43 countries! With some very unusual names like Riga and Rekjavik, Skopje and Sofia.
We tried a couple of quizzes - are you up to the challenge?
We got ALL of these ones right - with a little help from the list we made.

We thought this one was a bit tricker as you need to know the position of the country as well as the names.

We also played a loop game to test our new found knowledge. You could print it out and play it at home if you like!
