Democracy Week

During our Topic sessions this week, we were exploring how the UK is run. We learnt about how a group of people called the Members of Parliament are elected to make very important decisions.
In order to understand the election process, we held an election in our class. We got together in groups to represent constituencies. Each group was then asked to vote on a colour, these represented the different political groups. Once each constituency had voted we found out the overall winner.
‘It is strange how even though a colour won in our group, it didn’t win overall’ - Lorax Table
