Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Our First School Trip to Gravesend Library!

Reception were extremely excited to visit their local library and learn about the services it had on offer for children as well as adults.

Reception enjoyed listening to a story read by the librarian, whose name was Nicola.

The children guessed how many books they were allowed to take out on a library card "5" or "3"?
How many books do you think you can borrow at once?

All the children sat beautifully and listened to the story "The Cave" which all the children received a copy of from school.

All the children were keen to share their own reading experiences with their friends.

"Shhh we're reading a book!"
"Look at all the animals."

The children were particularly excited to share books with their friends as well as their teachers! A range of books were chosen including stories about fairies, animals, insects and people.

The classes were impeccably behaved and a credit to the school during their first school trip!

Well done!
