End of Year Event Planning

We’re winding down to the end of the year and we’re planning something special…
Both classes have been hard at work planning a special End-of-Year Event for their classmates. But it isn’t as easy as just planning, booking and paying, the pupils will need to raise the money for their event of choice.
Once pupils have planned their event, they’ll need to figure out ways to raise the money to fund their event. They thought of a variety of different things from lemonade stands to selling treats to even cleaning teachers’ cars. Whatever they can to raise the money, the Year 6 pupils are ready to earn it.
However, Year 6 needed to know that we may not raise the money needed for our trip. Therefore, they needed to think of a back-up plan for their event. Sometimes when we budget and plan for things, sometimes we don’t reach that target and we can’t afford it by the deadline, so we need to think of a back-up plan just in case of these situations.
In the coming weeks, Year 6 will be writing letters, designing posters and planning out the logistics of how they’ll raise the money and convince people to buy their goods to raise the money.
