Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

We are dinosaur inventors!

Year 5 have been getting imaginative this week!

We studied dinosaur names and the Greek prefixes and suffixes that they contain. We then worked together as a year group to create a dinosaur of our own and give it a 'proper' scientific name.

We have also had inspiration for creating mythical monsters from looking at a flip flap book of animals along with our class text this term.

We have been looking at ancient greek myths and the many characters that are half human or half animal in preparation for our myth writing next week. We are really looking forward to sharing our myths with year 2 next Friday.

What creature would you create and what would it be called?
