Festival of Light Lanterns

Year 5 were extremely fortunate this week to have a visiting artist come and make lanterns ready for the Festival of Light parade.

We had a great day of joining our bamboo together to make the frame ready for the tissue paper and PVA mix. Miss Baker was brave enough to give up her classroom for this activity - thank you!

We look forward to seeing many of you at the parade on Friday 16th November at 4pm in the Community Square.

I really enjoyed the festival of light but it was exhausting because we went on a trip a few hours before 👍🏿s up

I really enjoyed the festival and I really enjoyed the end because there was a show. My favourite part of the show was when someone on the stage was doing things with fire!

I really enjoyed the process of making the lantern and showing off our amazing craft skill to the public. I hope there are some more amazing opportunities like this.
