Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Amazing Africa!

This term we will be reading "African Tales" by Gcina Mhlophe.  We started by looking at the cover and introductory notes.

We thought about what we already knew about Africa and the things we would like to know.  We then researched these questions and placed some of our facts on a map of Africa.

Some of our questions were?

"Who discovered Africa?" - Millen

"What kind of fruits come from there?" - Daisy

How many people live there? - Charles

These are some of the facts that we have researched

Africa is a continent made up of over 50 countries. - Sebastian

There are over 1 billian people living in Africa - Jamie A

The hottest recorded temperature in Africa was 57.8 degrees - Molly

Next week we will be publishing leaflets and posters.  Pop back next week to see how we got on.
