Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Storytelling

It has been another very busy week for us year ones. In maths, we have been learning about the part part whole diagram. In topic, we have been exploring static electricity and the dangers of electricity. And as you can guess we have been looking at stories in literacy.

All week we have been planning and writing a story about a guinea pig. We did some role play to rehearse the story plot and began writing on Tuesday.

We were very lucky to have a story teller come into see us. He taught us to use actions for the storytelling and then read us a story.

We all enjoyed ourselves and had lots of fun, especially when we were listening in our pyjamas.
Why not ask your child about their story?
