Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Grace and Family

This week we have continued to read Grace and Family and then conducted our own research about Gambia.

In literacy whilst following the story of Grace visiting her Papa in Gambia, we decided to find out a little bit more about Gambia. First, we had to think about what we wanted to know about Gambia. The children suggested some fantastic questions! Like, what types of bugs do they have in Gambia? Why do the people carry things on their heads? How are the houses built?

We looked at books, art and used computers to help us answer these questions. We all found out lots of interesting information about Gambia.

Why not ask your child what they found out about Gambia?

We can't wait to continue reading Grace and Family next week.
