Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Caterpillar Kebabs

Inspired by our book 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and our learning about healthy foods, we decided to make our own mini 'caterpillar' fruit kebabs using grapes and raisins.

Before we started we discussed the importance of health and hygiene and made sure our hands were nice and clean.

'The grapes feel so soft!'
'You have to be careful so you don't end up poking yourself.'

They were very fiddly but we managed to use our fine motor skills to thread the healthy fruits onto the sticks.

'The raisins are the caterpillars feet and the grapes are the caterpillars body.'
'Look at my caterpillars, they are very tall!

Can you think of another minibeast we could create using fruit?
