Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Pancake day!!!

This week in R.E. the Reception children have been learning about the Easter story and why we eat pancakes on Shrove Tuesday (Did you know that is another name for Pancake day?). We spoke about why we have Lent and also discussed things we would give up.

We then enjoyed eating the yummy pancakes (Yummy in my tummy!)

They were so soft and fluffy!
We spoke to our friends about what we like on our pancakes.
Anaya- " I like chocolate."
Pixie- " I like grapes and strawberries."
Olivia- " I like my pancakes with raspberries on."
Ariana- " Sometimes my mummy put syrup on my pancakes and cuts them up."

What do you like on your pancakes?

After we finished our scrumptious pancakes, we ended the day by saying a prayer to thank God for all the lovely things he has given us.
